Cause it's his birthday surprise

Yes, I have been waiting for this day since so long.

Finally, it was 18-Dec-2019, my Husband’s first birthday after we got married. He means the world to me; he has always been, and he knows this. Last year also we have celebrated his birthday officially together because we were engaged, and after engagement you are officially allowed to go out together. -- you can take leverage of going out together.

But this time I wanted to do something amazing, we have been in a relationship since last 5 yrs and almost every year we had escaped our homes, making some sort of the vague story. So, this time it had to be something grand and out of his imagination. I intentionally fought with him on 17^th so that he least expects anything from me at midnight. It was a very chilling night & we slept early after our cat fight, I slowly got up from bed and exactly at 11:59 entered the room with a cake enlightened with candles. He was in sound sleep and his face suddenly lit with a beautiful smile; I remember singing the birthday song twice loudly because I just did not want him to stop blushing & smiling. I could not stop admiring how amazingly gorgeous he looks, and just could not stop falling more for him every passing second. We did cut his cake after I was done annoying him which ended with him having a cake facial and I ended with licking all his cake face pack. The night did end lovingly.

I got early in the morning & have packed all our essentials , I was just about to finish my last bag and he suddenly woke up asking me, are you running from home and I just laughed out hard ,No honey we are going on a vacation. We have exactly 45 mins to get ready & leave home else we will miss our flights. His amusement continues & he kept asking about where are we going, I could not keep the secret for long and blurted out, okay we are going to Udaipur.

After our pleasant flight journey, we finally landed the city of lakes Udaipur. The journey from airport to Hotel was as beautiful as expected. We reached at our expected time & checked in around 1:00 pm, we thought of just relaxing for a while in our room, so we ordered food in room & lazily we ate on our bed. While booking the hotel I got the information that it has best evening view of the city Fateh Sagar lake. Since it was his birthday, so I had not planning on visiting any places, & I just wanted him to relax & chill at a wonderful place. After sleeping for a while, we got dressed up and went to hotel lobby & were totally awestruck by the view. It was amazing with a beautiful lake view, mesmerizing lighting & pleasant weather making everything gloomy & direful. We chose a cozy couch to sit & chill for the rest of the evening. The smile & happiness on his face easily reflects that my target of delighting him on his birthday has been accomplished.

We ordered our snacks & evening started getting beautiful with more lights, perfect ambience, good food. As the evening started getting dense group of folk dancers arrived which gave a perfect feel of Rajasthan, with Rajasthani folk music playing all around dancers inviting families to dance with them & within no time we were also on our feet dancing & having gala time. When we were all drenched in sweat and drained of energy, a beautiful heart shaped cake arrived with a bottle of wine. It is not legally allowed to drink in Udaipur but thankfully our hotel had a license to serve alcohol. The night ended in a way much better than we expected.

Next morning, we skipped our breakfast at Hotel to try some local food, after asking few people on road we came to know about good local shop near to our hotel, we tried “Daal Baati Choorma ” (Rajasthan Special dish) and it was very delicious.

We then moved towards our first destination of day 1à Karni Mata Temple, it is a small temple situated on a hill, to reach temple you must take ropeway. Ropeway ride gives you some mesmerizing views of the natural beauty in Udaipur, before reaching temple. Temple hold many beliefs and it is said that if you wish with pure heart, your wishes will come true and we met so many people there who are visiting this temple again as their wishes come true.

As the day passed the city does amaze us with its beauty, cleanliness, warm and cooperative people. City Palace was the highlight of the city & it does blow your mind with its architecture, it is so grand & beautiful that if you’re not wearing your set of comfortable shoes, it will leave you with sour feet. A beautiful boat ride in the shining blue waters of lake Pichola with a perfect sunset view will surely keep you awestruck.

An evening walk around Fateh Sagar lake, with a sneak peek into fish museum will definitely make for the perfect evening. Well I must tell, the local food near Fateh Sagar lake will keep your mouth drooling with the taste of it until your next visit. Your heart will keep desiring for more even when your stomach gives you all signals that it is done with eating. Finally, we made to our hotels with our stomach overloaded, our legs hurting from pain, body exhausted but heart filled with satisfaction.

Likewise, next day started with a visit to SajjanGarh Palace, is also called The Monsoon Palace, is a hilltop palatial residence in the city, more than palace I think it’s the location of the palace that makes it special. As most of the other palaces it is also situated on top of a hill, and the view around the hill is serene, picture perfect location for photoshoots. It has architecture, it has natural beauty, perfect sunrise and sunset points, all together just awesome.

A beautiful palace also has a manmade wildlife sanctuary named as SajjanGarh wildlife sanctuary. The area of the sanctuary is 5.19 square kilometers. It is a huge place with a wide variety of species to keep you entertained & surprised throughout the journey.

The trip did end wonderfully with lot of amazing memories & sneak peek into the history & beauty of amazing place.
